If you want to charter a private jet in Houston, there are many options to consider. Houston has two main airports where you can charter a private jet. Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is the area's largest airport, located approximately 23 miles north of downtown Houston. If you plan on chartering a flight to an international destination, your flight will have to leave from IAH, as all international flights in Houston depart from there. IAH also has the most options available when it comes to chartering a private jet to or from Houston or another destination in the United States.
Houston William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) is located seven miles south of downtown Houston. Since it is the closest airport to downtown Houston, it can be a more convenient option for those with time constraints who need to charter a private jet to or from Houston or any destination in the United States.
Although these two airports are the biggest and busiest in Houston, they may not be the best fit for your needs. Depending upon your point of departure, you may want to consider taking a private jet from one of the smaller airports in the Houston area. These airports include Ellington Airport, Sugar Land Regional Airport, David Wayne Hooks Memorial Airport, West Houston Airport, and Lone Star Executive Airport. The main benefit in flying to or from one of these smaller airports is their lack of traffic. It is much easier and less stressful to get through security and onto your plane, as there are fewer people and fewer planes, making it less likely that you or your flight will be delayed.
